Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Grey Joy Safari Adventures representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed afternoon at leisure, allowing the family to unwind and adjust before the safari begins.
Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit and offers a calm, scenic introduction to your journey.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a family-friendly game drive along the Tarangire River, a vital water source that attracts wildlife throughout the year.
Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and predators such as lions and leopards. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park before continuing your exploration. Later, transfer to your lodge for relaxation and sunset views.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park & Treetop Walk
This morning, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse parks. Set against the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is known for its lush groundwater forest, large baboon troops, elephants, rich birdlife, and the famous tree-climbing lions.
A highlight of the day is the Lake Manyara Treetop Walkway, offering a safe and exciting canopy-level experience ideal for families. After your game drive and treetop adventure, continue to Karatu for a peaceful evening.

Day 4: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at scenic viewpoints overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue into Serengeti National Park, where vast open plains stretch endlessly toward the horizon.
Enjoy a picnic lunch en route and an afternoon game drive upon arrival. The Serengeti is home to abundant wildlife year-round and is especially famous for the Great Migration, depending on the season.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Safari
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with your professional Grey Joy guide. Choose between morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day safari with a picnic lunch. The park offers exceptional chances to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and countless plains game.
This day is dedicated to unhurried exploration, photography, and creating unforgettable family memories in one of the world’s greatest wildlife destinations.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart Serengeti for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders.
Enjoy a game drive on the crater floor, where wildlife thrives in a compact ecosystem. Expect close encounters with elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos, and—if fortunate—the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and return to Karatu.

Day 7: Karatu – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed drive back to Arusha or transfer directly to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, depending on your onward travel plans. This marks the end of your unforgettable family safari with Grey Joy Safari Adventures.
