Day 1: Welcome to Tarangire National Park
Your adventure with GreyJoy Safari Adventures begins at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel. We’ll head straight to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and diverse parks.
Tarangire is known for its dramatic landscape and its nine different vegetation zones. One of the park’s most iconic features is its ancient baobab trees, towering giants that dwarf the wildlife around them. The park is also famous for its large elephant population—the biggest in all of Tanzania—offering incredible opportunities to observe elephant families in their natural habitat.
As we drive along the Tarangire River, which serves as a lifeline during the dry season, you’ll see an abundance of wildlife including lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and a dazzling variety of bird species.
We’ll pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic lookout, where you might even catch a glimpse of a hunt while enjoying views over the river. After lunch, we’ll continue our game drive before heading to your luxury accommodation for the night.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – A Hidden Gem
After breakfast, we take a short and beautiful drive across the Great Rift Valley to reach Lake Manyara National Park. Although relatively compact at 330 square kilometers (205 sq mi), this park offers stunning scenery and a wide variety of wildlife.
Explore lush forests of acacia, mahogany, and fig trees that are home to playful baboons and blue monkeys. The open plains and lake area offer fantastic sightings of giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and a large number of hippos cooling off in the water.
The lake’s edge is often dotted with thousands of flamingos, creating a photographer’s dream scene with animals in the foreground and shimmering waters behind.
If you’re up for a little extra adventure, optional bike rides or boat excursions can be arranged. In the late afternoon, we’ll head to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Into the Heart of the Serengeti
After an early breakfast, we set off for the crown jewel of Tanzania’s national parks—Serengeti National Park. Along the way, we’ll stop at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for breathtaking panoramic views. It’s a moment you won’t forget.
As we enter the Serengeti, its endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word meaning “endless plains,” and it’s easy to see why. The park spans over 14,000 square kilometers (5,700 sq mi) and is home to the Great Migration, where over 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and antelopes move in search of greener pastures.
This is also a top destination for spotting big cats—lions, cheetahs, leopards—and hyenas, with many famous wildlife documentaries filmed right here.

Often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the Natural World, the crater is a massive volcanic caldera covering over 260 square kilometers (102 sq mi) with 600-meter-high (2,000 ft) walls. It shelters nearly every species of East African wildlife, including the rare and endangered black rhino.
The ecosystem includes rivers, swamps, forests, open plains, and a soda lake teeming with flamingos. The elephants here are known for their enormous tusks, making for memorable sightings.
