Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast, your GreyJoy Safari Adventures guide will meet you at your lodge, ready to begin your unforgettable safari journey. With lunch boxes packed, you’ll hit the road for a scenic three-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, soaking in the beautiful and ever-changing landscapes of northern Tanzania.
Tarangire is a gem—especially during the dry season when the Tarangire River draws in massive herds of wildlife. The park is famous for its huge elephant population, majestic baobab trees, and vibrant birdlife with over 500 species—some found nowhere else in the country. Keep your camera ready for incredible sightings of lions, giraffes, zebras, and more as you explore this spectacular park.

Day 2: From Karatu to Central Serengeti via Ngorongoro
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the next leg of your adventure. You’ll drive through the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, catching stunning views along the way, before entering the world-famous Serengeti National Park.
Known for its vast open plains and staggering wildlife population, the Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the highest concentrations of predators in Africa. Expect to encounter lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, and thousands of herbivores roaming freely across the plains. Whether it’s migration season or not, the Serengeti never disappoints.

Day 3: Central to Northern Serengeti – Chasing the Great Migration
Today, you’ll journey north through the Serengeti, heading toward the remote Bologonja and Mara River regions. These areas are the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration from July to September.
You’ll have the rare chance to witness massive herds of wildebeest and zebras gathered along the Mara River, preparing to cross its crocodile-infested waters in a courageous quest for fresh grazing land. It’s one of nature’s most dramatic and emotional scenes—a true spectacle of survival.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti Game Drive & Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, you’ll set off for a final game drive in the Northern Serengeti. With patience and a little luck, you might catch another look at the iconic river crossing—an unforgettable scene as herds brave strong currents and lurking predators.
In the afternoon, you’ll begin your scenic drive south toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, a beautiful region of rolling hills, forests, and local villages. You’ll arrive at your charming lodge in time to relax, refresh, and enjoy a warm dinner surrounded by nature.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you’ll grab your packed lunch and head out to explore one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders—the Ngorongoro Crater. This massive volcanic caldera is a haven for wildlife, often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden.”
As you descend into the crater, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views and an incredible density of animals, including black rhinos, lions, buffalo, elephants, and flamingos dancing across the soda lakes. It’s the perfect way to end your safari with GreyJoy Safari Adventures.
After your game drive and a relaxing picnic lunch, you’ll journey back to Arusha, where your safari ends with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
