Your adventure with GreyJoy Safari Adventures begins with a morning pick-up from your Arusha hotel, followed by a scenic 2-hour (120 km) drive to the legendary Tarangire National Park. Famous for its massive elephant herds and picturesque baobab trees, Tarangire offers a rich variety of landscapes—from golden savannahs and seasonal swamps to the wildlife-rich Tarangire River.

Keep your camera ready for sightings of zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffes, and, if luck is on your side, the park’s resident lions and leopards. Midday, you’ll pause at a beautiful picnic spot to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch before continuing your game drive into the late afternoon.

As the sun sets, you’ll head to Fig Tree Lodge & Camp, one of our trusted accommodation partners, for a delicious dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Lunch will be served at a scenic spot chosen by your expert GreyJoy guide, complete with wine and incredible views. The Serengeti is home to Africa’s largest lion population—around 3,000 strong—as well as elusive leopards, particularly in the Seronera region. With luck, you might spot some of the Big Five before heading to your camp.

You’ll spend the night under the Serengeti stars, enjoying dinner and the sounds of the wilderness all around you.

This is one of the best places to see all of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—depending on the day’s sightings.

Dinner and overnight will be at your campsite, where you can relax and reflect on another remarkable day.
