Day 1: Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Your adventure with GreyJoy Safari Adventures begins with a warm welcome and hotel pick-up. After meeting your guide, chef, and fellow travelers, we set off on a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, a gem known for its breathtaking landscapes, iconic ancient baobab trees, and the largest elephant population in Tanzania. This is one of the best places to watch elephant families interact in their natural habitat.
We’ll enjoy a game drive tailored to recent wildlife sightings, giving you the best chance to spot not only elephants, but also lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras that roam freely across the park.
Around midday, we’ll stop at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can savor your lunch while soaking in stunning river views and observing animals nearby. You may notice playful monkeys and curious baboons trying to join the picnic — they’re harmless and just part of the Tarangire charm.

Our destination is the Seronera area, a wildlife-rich region at the heart of the Serengeti. The Seronera River is a lifeline here, attracting an incredible variety of animals year-round. You’ll arrive in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive, where you might encounter lions lounging in the grass, cheetahs scanning the horizon, or herds of wildebeest on the move.

After lunch back at camp, we pack up and begin our journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater, with a 2-hour drive to Simba Campsite, located near the crater’s rim.
Even at the campsite, you may spot wildlife wandering nearby — an unforgettable reminder that you’re still in the wild heart of Africa.

This is also one of the best places to see predators such as lions, hyenas, and cheetahs.
We’ll visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake often filled with hippos, flamingos, and a variety of water birds. It’s the perfect final highlight before making our way back to Arusha in the late afternoon. We’ll drop you off at your preferred hotel or arrange airport transfers upon request.
