Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your GreyJoy Safari Adventures guide will be waiting to warmly greet you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha.
Take the evening to relax and soak in the African atmosphere. If you’re up for it, head into Arusha’s vibrant city center. Here you’ll find a fascinating contrast of modernity and tradition — glass-fronted office buildings and luxury hotels standing beside lively local markets and colorful stalls. Sip a freshly brewed cup of Tanzania’s world-famous coffee at an upscale café, or explore the bustling markets offering tropical fruits, fresh fish, spices, and handcrafted goods.
After immersing yourself in the local culture, return to your lodge to unwind and prepare for the exciting adventure that lies ahead.

Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast, set out for Tarangire National Park, famous for its striking landscapes and giant baobab trees. Spend the day on thrilling game drives through acacia woodlands, river valleys, and expansive swamps that attract wildlife year-round.
Tarangire is home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, as well as lesser-seen species such as the Greater Kudu, Fringed-eared Oryx, and the colorful Ashy Starling. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park before continuing your exploration into the afternoon.
As the sun sets, head to your tented camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Explore Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a gem nestled along the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. This lush park is known for its rich biodiversity and is famous for tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and a diverse primate population.
Keep your eyes peeled for leopards, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest, and more. Bird lovers will be in paradise — Lake Manyara is home to over 400 bird species, including flocks of pink flamingos that adorn the shoreline.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive until evening. Later, travel to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Into the Serengeti
Today you’ll head into the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey itself is an adventure, with incredible landscapes unfolding as you make your way into the endless plains.
Once inside the Serengeti, your game drive begins — expect to see lions basking under the sun, giraffes browsing on acacias, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras roaming freely. The sheer scale of the Serengeti and its wildlife will take your breath away.
Spend the night in a comfortable tented camp, where delicious meals and warm hospitality await.

Day 5: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti
Awake to the sounds of the Serengeti and head out early to witness predators in action before the day heats up. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast and some leisure time — relax, swim, or join optional activities like a Maasai village visit or guided walk.
In the afternoon, set out again for more wildlife encounters. This is prime time to spot big cats — lions, leopards, and cheetahs. End your day with a spectacular Serengeti sunset and dinner at your camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Region
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti as you make your way south toward the Ndutu area. This region is especially famous for its predator activity and large herds of wildebeest and zebras.
Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before continuing your scenic journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands, where lush landscapes and cooler air await.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Today is a highlight of your trip — a full-day safari inside the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Descend 600 meters into this natural wonder and discover a dense concentration of animals, including elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. The landscapes are equally stunning, with shimmering lakes, grasslands, and forests all within the crater.
In the late afternoon, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Flight to Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a representative and transferred to your boutique hotel in historic Stone Town.

Day 9: Transfer to the Beach – Relaxation
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Kisiwa on the Beach, your base for the next few days of island bliss. Relax on the white-sand beaches, swim in crystal-clear waters, or simply soak up the sun in paradise.

Day 10: Optional Zanzibar Excursions
Spend the day at leisure or join optional excursions. Visit Jozani Forest, home to the rare Red Colobus monkeys, or take a boat to Prison Island to see giant tortoises and snorkel in turquoise waters.

Day 11: Spice Tour & Beach Adventure
After breakfast, you may opt to explore Zanzibar’s rich spice heritage with a guided plantation tour. Learn about cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and more, while experiencing local culture. Adventure seekers can try kite surfing, snorkeling, or diving.
Return to the beach for a relaxed evening.
