With GreyJoy Safari Adventures, you’ll not only explore iconic national parks but also connect with local communities, making your safari more meaningful and memorable.

Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania – Arrival in Arusha

Your adventure with GreyJoy Safari Adventures begins as soon as you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for domestic travelers. Our friendly representative will greet you with a warm Tanzanian welcome and transfer you comfortably to your accommodation in Arusha.

Relax, settle in, and enjoy your first night at Mtoni River Lodge, a peaceful spot to rest before the adventure begins.

Day 2: Discover Arusha City & Visit an Albinism Center

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll visit one of Arusha’s albinism centers to learn about the daily challenges faced by people with albinism, especially regarding education, vision impairment, and social stigma. It’s an eye-opening cultural experience that fosters empathy and awareness.

Later, you’ll explore one of Arusha’s lively local markets where you’ll interact with locals, sample fresh produce, and maybe pick up a handmade souvenir or two. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Mtoni River Lodge to unwind.

Days 3–4: Tarangire National Park – Land of Giants

After breakfast, your journey continues to Tarangire National Park, known for its majestic baobab trees and vast elephant herds. The Tarangire River serves as the park’s lifeline during the dry season, attracting a high concentration of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and predators like lions and leopards.

You’ll enjoy two days of game drives, bird watching (this park boasts the highest number of breeding bird species in the world!), and soaking in the park’s raw beauty. Rest each night at the charming Lake Burunge Tented Lodge, where all meals are included.

Day 5: Wildlife in Lake Manyara – Culture at Lake Eyasi

After an early breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and large troops of baboons. Nestled at the foot of the Rift Valley escarpment, this park offers a mix of lush jungle, open plains, and a shimmering soda lake that attracts flamingos and other birdlife.

After a picnic lunch in the park, you’ll drive to Lake Eyasi, where your cultural immersion continues. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes – Cultural Encounters

Start the day with coffee or tea before heading out for an authentic cultural experience with the Hadzabe, one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. You’ll witness their traditional hunting techniques and hear their fascinating click-based language.

Later, visit the Datoga tribe, skilled blacksmiths who craft tools and jewelry using ancient techniques. Return to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Days 7–8: Into the Wild – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, journey through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area to reach the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Enjoy game drives en route and keep your camera ready – you may spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, and even the start of the great migration, depending on the season.

Spend two unforgettable days exploring the endless plains of Serengeti, home to Africa’s greatest wildlife spectacle. Your nights will be spent at the immersive Into the Wild Serengeti Camp, where nature surrounds you and the stars shine brighter.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – The Eighth Wonder

After breakfast, say goodbye to the Serengeti and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. This is one of the best places to see the Big Five — including the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before heading to the nearby town of Karatu for dinner and overnight at Africa Safari Karatu.

Day 10: Farewell – Return to Arusha

After a relaxed breakfast, return to Arusha for a hot lunch and some last-minute souvenir shopping. We’ll then transfer you to the airport for your flight home or onward journey to Zanzibar if you’ve extended your adventure.
