Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania – Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the GreyJoy Safari Adventures airport team. They’ll assist you with any visa or luggage concerns before introducing you to your professional guide. You’ll then be transferred to Arusha for a relaxing overnight stay.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania and the perfect place to begin your adventure. It’s also conveniently located near Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, about 100 kilometers away.

Day 2: Explore Tarangire National Park – Elephant Paradise
After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its large herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive, with a hot lunch served picnic-style in the wild. Later, continue your game drive until sunset before heading to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Unlike the busier parks, Tarangire offers a quieter and more intimate safari experience, making it a favorite among seasoned wildlife lovers.

Day 3: Walking Safari & Game Drives in Tarangire
Start your day with a guided morning walking safari, an incredible way to connect with nature and observe wildlife up close. Return to the vehicle for more game viewing and enjoy a hot lunch in the bush. The rest of the day will be spent exploring Tarangire’s unique landscapes and wildlife.
Look out for large elephant herds, predators, and rare species like the fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk, all thriving in this dry, dramatic terrain.

Day 4: Scenic Drive to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, journey toward Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its rich birdlife and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive and canopy walk, offering a new perspective of the forest canopy and wildlife below. A hot lunch will be served during the day, and by evening, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Lake Manyara is a paradise for bird enthusiasts, with over 400 recorded species, and it offers a wonderfully diverse landscape.

Day 5: Discover the Ngorongoro Crater – Nature’s Wonderland
Today, descend into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife. Your guide will set up a scenic picnic lunch with warm food and cold drinks near a shaded area. After a day of exploration, head to your lodge perched on the crater rim.
Expect to see lions, rhinos, elephants, and large flocks of flamingos at Lake Magadi, along with hippos and many bird species.

Day 6: Serengeti Bound – Game Drives in Central Serengeti
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Central Serengeti National Park. Stop at Naabi Hill Gate for a hot meal before continuing into Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive en route and arrive at your beautiful camp for dinner and overnight stay.
The Serengeti is a living testament to the wild, where the harmony between animals and land is uninterrupted by modern development.

Day 7: The Great Migration – North Serengeti & Mara River
After breakfast, drive further north to the Kogatende area of Serengeti, near the Mara River, to witness the dramatic wildebeest river crossings. Enjoy a hot lunch in the bush, then continue with game viewing until sunset. Later, check into your migration camp for a warm shower, dinner, and overnight.
During August through October, the Kogatende area becomes the stage for one of nature’s most powerful spectacles—the Great Migration.

Day 8: Full-Day Safari in Northern Serengeti
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Northern Serengeti, tracking herds of wildebeest and zebras as they navigate crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River. Witness the survival of the fittest as the migration plays out before your eyes. Your guide will serve a hot lunch in the bush. In the evening, return to camp to relax under the stars.
The migration is not just about movement—it’s a dramatic display of life, survival, and instinct in the African wild.

Day 9: Farewell – Fly Back to Arusha
Enjoy a final early morning game drive and breakfast at the camp. You’ll then be transferred to Kogatende Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you’ll have lunch before being transferred to your hotel or to the airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your unforgettable journey with GreyJoy Safari Adventures.
