Day 1: Ngorongoro Crater
our adventure with GreyJoy Safari Adventures begins with a short flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where your driver-guide will be waiting to welcome you. From there, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often called the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. This spectacular site is the largest unbroken caldera on Earth, formed over two million years ago when the Ngorongoro Volcano collapsed.
Stretching 19 kilometers across, the crater is a paradise of contrasting landscapes—lush acacia forests, sparkling swamps where hippos wallow, and endless grasslands alive with wildlife. Here, you’ll witness a fascinating harmony where the Maasai people still graze their cattle alongside buffalo, wildebeest, and zebras. After an exciting game drive and picnic lunch inside the crater, you’ll head to your lodge for a relaxing evening filled with comfort and delicious cuisine.

Covering over 3,000 square kilometers, Tarangire is best known for its massive elephant herds and the striking silhouette of its ancient baobab trees. The park is named after the Tarangire River, a lifeline that attracts incredible concentrations of wildlife during the dry season (June – November), rivaling even the Serengeti.
With more than 2,000 elephants, countless wildebeest, zebras, and over 500 species of birds, every game drive here is full of surprises. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, surrounded by stunning views and wildlife encounters. In the late afternoon, return to Arusha and continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight back to Zanzibar—bringing your unforgettable safari to a close.
