This unforgettable eight-day safari adventure takes you through the highlights of Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit. You’ll enjoy plenty of time to explore the world-famous Serengeti, with three full days soaking in its wildlife and landscapes. Your journey also includes an overnight stay in Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds, plus a full day exploring the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.

You’ll get a unique cultural experience and a chance to go canoeing at Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Finally, unwind with a refreshing day at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, surrounded by lush foothills and beautiful views—perfect for ending your safari on a high note.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania!

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at the airport, our friendly team will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel—Karibu Heritage House. After settling in, we’ll take you on a relaxed city tour around Arusha. You’ll explore local markets, the colorful Maasai market, the Cultural Heritage Center, and the Arusha City Museum—giving you a great introduction to Tanzanian culture and daily life.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Elephant Paradise

After breakfast, we head out for your first real safari experience in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and more. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site—just watch out for cheeky monkeys trying to sneak a bite!

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti – Into the Wild

After breakfast, we make our way towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint to admire the stunning landscape. We’ll reach Serengeti by afternoon, have lunch, and head out for an evening game drive to spot wildlife at golden hour. Overnight at Seronera Campsite in the heart of the park.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Serengeti – The Big Game Search

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive—the best time to witness predators in action. You’ll spend the day exploring the vast plains of Serengeti, tracking the movements of wildebeest, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and more. Your guide will help navigate areas where animal activity is most intense, based on seasonal migration patterns.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro – Crater-Top Camping

After breakfast and a morning game drive, we return to camp for lunch before journeying to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Tonight, you’ll camp at Simba Campsite, located right on the rim of the crater—offering magical sunset views and a peaceful wilderness setting. Get some rest for an early morning crater descent!

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife Wonder & Sunset at Lake Eyasi

We’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for one of Africa’s most awe-inspiring safari experiences. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the endangered black rhino, large prides of lions, hyenas, buffalo, and more—all within a natural amphitheater. After a picnic lunch, we’ll ascend the crater and head to Lake Eyasi, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful canoe ride at sunset.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi – Cultural Encounters with Hadzabe & Datoga

This morning is all about connecting with local communities. You’ll meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer groups in Africa, and the Datoga, skilled pastoralists and blacksmiths. Take part in traditional hunting with the Hadzabe, learn about local customs, make bows and arrows, join in song and dance, and get a deeper understanding of these ancient cultures. In the early evening, we drive back to Arusha for overnight.

Day 8: Kilimanjaro Day Trip – Waterfalls, Coffee & Hot Springs

Today is a refreshing change of scenery as we explore the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. First, we hike to Materuni Waterfalls, where you can enjoy a swim in the cool mountain waters. Then, you’ll visit a local coffee farm to see (and taste!) how Tanzania’s famous coffee is grown and roasted. End your day soaking in the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, a natural geothermal pool surrounded by lush greenery.

Day 9: Farewell – Airport Drop-off
