Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania – Arrival in Arusha

Your adventure begins the moment you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). A friendly representative from GreyJoy Safari Adventures will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Nestled at the foothills of Mount Meru, your overnight stay at Mount Meru Hotel offers a peaceful and scenic start to your journey. Relax, unwind, and take in the lush surroundings as you prepare for the incredible safari days ahead.

Day 2–3: Cultural & Wildlife Adventure in Sinya Conservancy (Western Kilimanjaro)

After breakfast, meet your private safari guide who will drive you to Sinya Private Wildlife Conservancy, a hidden gem located on the border with Kenya’s Amboseli National Park. This exclusive area offers unmatched views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and the surrounding volcanic mountains.

You’ll be immersed in a deeply authentic experience with the local Maasai community, who continue to live traditionally and proudly share their culture. Activities over the next two days include guided walking safaris with Maasai warriors, game drives across breathtaking landscapes, and participation in Maasai ceremonies (when available). This is not just a safari—it’s a meaningful cultural encounter and part of a conservation initiative that directly benefits local communities.

Day 4: Elephant Kingdom – Tarangire National Park

Today, your journey takes you to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The park’s landscape is both iconic and dramatic, and the wildlife density here is among the highest in the country.

From your safari vehicle’s pop-up roof, enjoy incredible sightings of giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, bushbuck, and—if you’re lucky—lions or leopards lounging in the trees. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, surrounded by nature. In the late afternoon, drive to your charming accommodation on the shores of Lake Burunge.

Day 5: Birdlife & Tree-Climbing Lions – Lake Manyara National Park

After a hearty breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet incredibly diverse park known for its soda lake and flamingo-filled shores. This park is a paradise for birdwatchers and is home to over 500 bird species.

As you explore, keep your eyes open for tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and a variety of monkeys. The scenery here shifts dramatically from lush groundwater forest to grassy floodplains and rocky cliffs. After a full day of adventure, continue to Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 6: Into the Wild – Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti, home to the world-famous Great Migration. You’ll track massive herds of wildebeest and zebras, along with their ever-present predators—lions, hyenas, and cheetahs.

This day is all about raw nature and unforgettable encounters. Whether you’re chasing the sunrise over the savannah or witnessing wildlife at a watering hole, every moment is pure safari magic. Return to Into the Wild Serengeti Camp for a relaxing evening under the stars.

Day 7: Full Day in the Serengeti

Day 8: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater – The Eden of Africa

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route out of the Serengeti, keeping a lookout for members of the Big Five. You’ll then descend into the majestic Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to spot wildlife up close.

The crater is home to over 25,000 animals, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, hippos, and a vibrant birdlife. After an action-packed day in the crater, head to Karatu Simba Lodge for a well-deserved dinner and rest.

Day 9: Back to Arusha – Farewell or Zanzibar Extension

After a leisurely breakfast, your guide will drive you back to Arusha, where you’ll enjoy a hot lunch and time to reflect on your incredible journey. Depending on your travel plans, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight or continue on to Zanzibar for a beach extension.
